Today Dachis Group announced a $7.5 million Series-C funding round led by Austin Ventures. I am extremely proud of our ongoing partnership with the team at Austin Ventures and incredibly excited by what this funding round represents. We decided to accept additional funding because we’ve reached some very significant milestones in our evolution as a company. This round comes at a critical time to accelerate the expansion of our big data social analytics platform, expand our sales and marketing efforts, and attract and retain top talent.
For years, we’ve been discussing the critical need for large enterprises to embrace the dual pillars of measurement and advocacy if they are going to succeed as Social Businesses. The value and impact of mass marketing is waning in the face of technological change and scalable engagement through advocacy is the only way for organizations to succeed in the future. In just the last few months, we’ve hit over 100 enterprise licenses for our software sold into the world’s largest brands and agencies including Nokia, New York Life, Starwood, Bloomberg, Bank of America, Estee Lauder, Juniper, Acer, and AT&T. We’ve also filed numerous patents for our intellectual property and hit incredible milestones with our data platform. As of today, we track more than 35,000 brands and several hundred million brand social interactions every single day. That data represents a mind boggling 850 trillion permutations of data that we analyze and package into metrics and insights for every one of our customers.
All of this data is used by our clients, their agencies, and our solutions teams to help brands interact with more than one million passionate brand advocates who as a group are responsible for 20% of all earned media impressions that brands receive online.
